Business Analyst/Functional Designer

Your task:

As a functional designer you will work with our clients in a small team to gather, analyze and prioritize application requirements, complete interaction and functional designs containing use cases, wireframes and/or screen mock-ups, validations and functional interface specifications with explicit rules for the exchange and ownership of data. You will also work together with our technical staff to help them optimize implementation scenarios and complete estimations. Finally, you will work closely with QA to create and execute test scenarios.

When not directly assigned to one of our projects, you will be engaged in a wide range of additional activities, such working with a small team to prepare proposals for projects, investigating improved design technologies and methodologies, participate in training and conferences, etc. At Xaton we know that our people are our key asset, and we strongly encourage an enthusiasm for both personal and career development.

Your profile:

You have completed either HBO (Higher Vocational Training) or University in Information Technology.

You will have references to demonstrate your 2+ years experience as a functional designer and will be familiar with current design technologies, such as model-driver architectures, as used in modern project methodologies like RUP, Agile and Scrum. You will be familiar with UML modelling concepts and able to conceptualize data models, sequence diagrams and interaction diagrams. You must have outstanding presentation and communication skills, be an excellent listener, take initiative and responsibility, and accept only pixel-perfect quality. You are accurate and thorough, and want to fully understand exactly what you are designing. As an advantage, you may have previously worked as a programmer and have experience in Java or another object-orientated language. You have excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch and English.

If this opportunity sounds interesting to you, we would welcome your enquiry!
