Senior Java Developer
Your task:
As a senior software developer you will work closely with our clients in a small team of highly respected specialists to develop j2ee web-applications.
The backend development team will concentrate on technologies such as the Spring Framework MVC and Web-flows, will create a rigorously layered DOM, and build interfaces based on SOAP or REST web-services. Backend developers will also be familiar with JUnit, JProfile, JDepend, SoapUI and similar development aids.
Content Management will typically be handled through a loose coupling to GX, Tridion or Stellant. We place tremendous value on securing well structured, strictly modular, high-quality source code and use an automated build process to automatically build and deploy the application whenever a check-in occurs.
When not directly assigned to one of our projects, you will be engaged in a wide range of additional activities, such working with a small team to prepare proposals for projects, investigate/prototype new technologies and methodologies, participate in training and conferences, etc. At Xaton we know that our people are our key asset, and we strongly encourage an enthusiasm for both personal and career development.
Your profile:
You have completed either HBO (Higher Vocational Training) or University in Information Technology.
You will have references to demonstrate your minimum 3+ years of experience as a software developer.
You will have outstanding presentation and communication skills, be an excellent listener, take initiative and responsibility, and accept only pixel-perfect quality - you are accurate and thorough, and desire to have a deep and comprehensive understanding of exactly what you are developing.
As an advantage, you will already be SUN certified as a Java developer.
You have excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch and English.
